About Me

What I Love

I am passionate about words and language. I love to work with clients on polishing and perfecting their writing, bringing clarity and beauty to your work and your message, whatever that may be.
I view editing as a collaboration, so I approach every project by getting to know you and your needs before tackling a single sentence. For me, editing and proofreading aren’t about being a stern teacher, or taking a red pen to something you’ve worked hard on; I care about your writing, and I want to work with you to make it as clear and as attractive as it can possibly be.
Words are powerful — choosing the right ones and presenting them in the best way can make all the difference in the world to you and your audience. That's where I can help!
Background
I studied English Language & Literature at the University of Aberdeen, and I also hold a Creative Writing certificate from The Open University. After deciding to make editing my full-time career, I trained with the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP), obtaining industry-recognised qualifications in Copyediting and Proofreading.
